Abandoned Shopping Cart
Remember the photo from a few weeks back at the grocery store Lidl and the shopping carts? How you have to pay to rent a cart? Well, the deposit works. This cart shows up every other week or so and gets abandoned here. It is from a grocery store that doesn't require a money deposit.
Every week or so, I see a truck with shopping carts drive around collecting random carts. If I happen to have my phone on me the next time I see them, I'll post the photo!
Switching gears...
I launched a new version of the frontend of this website today. Rewritten in a JavaScript framework called React, it will be much quicker when navigating, and map and tag data will be cached. I have been working on this project for a few weeks now, and I'm quite excited to finish it up. If you find any bugs, please let me know.
Finally, if you weren't aware, there is a twice a week email that you can sign up for if you'd like. I have had it running for a few months now, and I believe I have worked out the kinks. It sends out on Monday and Thursday nights when new photos are added. The signup form is on the About page.
