Disneyland 2017 Star Wars 10K

I woke up this morning at 3am to get ready for the Star Wars 10K. The first wave of the race started at 5:30am, I was in wave C, or the third wave.

I took a bunch of photos along the route and wore a gopro that took a photo every 30 seconds. Along the course there were various places to stop and take photos and a few characters. The majority of the characters had lines of over 100 people so I didn't stop for any of those. I jogged for the majority of the route and finished with an unofficial time of 1:11:04 which is about 15 minutes slower than my 10K PR.

Afterwards my legs didn't feel too stressed and ready for tomorrow!

Before the race they had a few places to get your picture taken including this scene from Episode IV in the trash compactor.

At 5:40 my wave, Wave C, crossed the starting line!

GoPro Photos

The majority of the GoPro photos were blurry because the race started at 5:30am and it was dark. When the GoPro started taking photos it was at 1/5 of a second and at the end 1/25 so only a few photos were not blurry, most when I was stopped.

This was a trial run for tomorrow's half marathon and I realized that I quickly warmed up. Tomorrow I will wear less layers and leave the GoPro in the hotel room.
