Freedom Trail
Today we spent the majority of the day walking the "Freedom Trail". The trail includes many historical landmarks in American History. At each landmark there was this seal and between them was a red line (usually brick).
The Freedom Trail starts at the Boston Commons, a huge park in the middle of the city. We stayed one block west of the park, which made getting to the Freedom Trail easy.
State House
The State House is used today for the Massachusetts Government and is the first stop on the trail.
Granary Burying Ground
There were three cemeteries on the Freedom trail, this was the first.
Old City Hall
Old State House and Boston Massacre Site
I'm glad that this building was saved, but it was hard to imagine what the building used to be and look like with sky scrapers in almost every direction.
Paul Revere House
It was too bad there were the vehicles in front of the house. They had tours, but we didn't end up taking one.
Paul Revere Statue and the Old North Church
USS Constitution
The next step was over the water on the USS Constitution. We went through X-Ray and metal detectors to get on board.
