Two Kayaks

Two Kayaks

So about a year ago Meemo gave us a box and told us there was a boat in it. She didn't know because she got it from someone else who told her that exact thing. On Saturday (before our hike) we pulled it out and found out we owned a second kayak!

Last night we bought life vests and this morning we went to REI for a few waterproof items. Around 3pm we arrived at Loveland Lake and it started pouring. We waited out the storm by going to PetSmart and purchasing a life vest for Brewer.

After the storm, we went back to Loveland Lake and started unpacking the kayaks. A security guard pulled up and informed us that it was a private lake. He suggested going to Lonetree Reservoir.

After getting the kayaks in the water and putting on life vests, we put Brewer in Michelle's Kayak. Brewer hates going in the water so we had to place him in the kayak. We floated around for a little bit and when it started to rain again we headed to the shore. About 20 feet from the shore, Brewer jumped out! I didn't see him jump, but Michelle said that when he landed in the water he had a look of fear in his eyes.

Luckily he had the life vest on and Michelle was able to pick him up by the strap on his bag. We had to leave shortly after because of the rain. It will be interesting to see how this experience will effect him around water.

The Lake

The Lake

This is the lake, no boats are allowed to make a wake so the water was smooth. Both pictures were taken with my iPhone.
