After Irene’s family took us out for dinner they brought us back to the airport around midnight. Our flight was at 6am so we thought we would hang out in the business lounge. Unfortunately, overnight it closes and wouldn’t reopen until 4am. So we wandered around the airport for four hours before they opened. Once they did open, it was empty and quite nice!

They had a good assortment for breakfast.
A few hours later we landed in Cancun.
The resort we are staying at has four different lobbies and twenty plus restaurants. We made reservations at a few of them for the evening.
At the beach it was very windy and the ocean water was very choppy. There was a bloom of seaweed just off the coast which meant that the hotel staff had to take backhoes each day and attempt to clean it up.
