We woke up at 5 am this morning to drive to Pathos for an ATV tour. We tried to stop at four different coffee shops but they were not open yet!

I'm told this is the only tunnel in Cyprus.

The drive between Limassol and Pathos was along the coast.

At 9 am we arrived at Pathos and started an ATV tour. The first stop was at a shipwreck on the coast. We were both expecting that the ship was old but it crashed here seven years ago and it was too expensive to remove!

The first part of the tour was along the coast.

We stopped a handful of times along the coast to get out and take photos.

After driving along the coast we drove through the mountains. At points, the dust was quite extreme so they gave us bandanas to wear. I drove the first part and then we switched.

The path changed to more hills but was still along the coast. We took the steps down to a turtle sanctuary at the bottom on the coast.

Next, we went through the mountains to the other side of the island.

I swam out to that island.

After swimming for a little bit we walked up to a restaurant to have lunch. We hung out for about an hour before catching a boat to the Blue Lagoon.

After lunch, we switched drivers.

On a boat!

On a boat!

We parked the ATVs at the marina and hopped on a cruise boat that was headed for the Blue Lagoon.

It took about 45 minutes to get to the Blue Lagoon where the water was light blue and very clear. You could see the bottom which was about two meters deep. The boat put out its anchor for an hour while we jumped in the water and swam.

We then drove for about an hour back to Pathos where the trip concluded. Irene drove so I was able to get some pictures and video as we went along.

Drive Back

We drove on the roads back to Pathos. I took this video over Irene's shoulder as we drove back.
