New Belgium Tours

New Belgium Tour #1

New Belgium Tour #1

Shane, Ali and I went up to New Belgium this afternoon for a 12:30 tour. We scheduled the tour online about 2 months ago because anything sooner was booked. The tour lasted about 90 minutes and we got plenty of beer samples along the way.

After the tour concluded we found the Loveland Homebrew Club who was also doing a tour. I knew they would be there but because I had already scheduled the tour with Shane and Ali I thought I weren’t going to do the homebrew tour.

When we finished our tour the Homebrew Club was starting theirs and we joined them. Our tour guide, Andy, works on the tasting panel for Craft Beer and Brewing magazine with me.

This tour was significantly different than the first tour. This tour focused heavily on the brewing process and the science behind it. We also tour different parts of the brewery, like the basement under the fermenters.

Fooder Farm

Back in the Fooder Farm we sampled two additional beers that were not distributed on the tour.

At the very end of the second tour we went back to the canning line but this time we were on the floor rather than up above. We took a few Fat Tires of the line and concluded the tour.
