Last Day in Amsterdam
Heineken
Today was the last full day in Amsterdam and we did a VIP tour at Heineken.
The brewery is no longer operational but all of the equipment was still there for tours. Our tour had eight people in it with four of them from the University of Colorado on an exchange program.
Stables
Similar to Budweiser they had stables with horses.
On the roof
There was a bar on the rooftop that we visited briefly. Normally during this tour, we would sample beers up here but they were getting ready for an event that evening. This photo was taken facing north.
Beer and cheese pairing
Back inside we had a beer pairing where they paired five of their beers with different cheeses.
Heineken owns many different brands and during this tasting, we tried five different beers.
After the tour, we went down to the bar where we had two beer additional tokens. Unfortunately, the only beer they had down there was Heineken.
