University of Nicosia

University of Nicosia

In the morning I took the bus into Nicosia to the University of Nicosia. Over the course of the conference, I meet many of my professors and administrative staff that are involved in the program. One of them, Nick, mentioned that I could get a tour if I came by on Monday.

The bus I took was similar to a car share so I had no fixed arrival time. I showed up about 45 minutes in advance so I wandered around the campus and took some photos. This amphitheater is where graduation happens.

Resident Hall

There were four or five cranes for new construction including additional residence halls. This is the only residence hall they currently have.

After the tour, Irene and I went out for a late lunch in old town Nicosia. I think this photo was taken because of the clarinet hanging from the ceiling.

Next, we wandered around the streets choosing whichever path looked the most interesting.

Cats

Cats

There were stray cats everywhere in Cyprus.

Later that evening we drove to Larnaca for dinner and more wandering around. Larnaca is more of a tourist city since that is where the airport is located.
