Eclipse

I took the day off to go up north to see the full eclipse. The original plan was to go somewhere in Wyoming but I was concerned about an increase in traffic so I went up to Scottsbluff, Nebraska instead.

I left the house this morning at 6:45 and arrived up in Scottsbluff around 10 am. I drove around for a while to find a good spot and settled on the side of a country road going into the Scottsbluff Park. The park itself was filled with people.

I had about 45 minutes to kill before the eclipse started so I took a few photos of Scottsbluff Park and the area. It was a bit hazy so the pictures of the area are not crisp.

Rocking my UNC eclipse glasses.

Other than the Bluffs, it was very flat.

Totality

Totality

Totality happened at 11:47 am.

Yesterday concludes the 11th year of photo blogging and today starts the 12th year. As of today, there have been 3,018 days represented with 3,980 photos and 19 videos posted.

Traffic on the way back was a bit worse, but the state police did a good job of directing traffic. I was stopped on the top of the I25 overpass for a few minutes.
