This morning we went to the animal hospital in Loveland to see a specialist and get his opinion. He took a look at Barley and the x-rays that were taken yesterday and felt like he could to a closed procedure to get the elbow back in place. Basically there is a procedure that he can do that would not require surgery but if it didn't work then surgery would be the next step to get the elbow back in place.

A vet tech went over the itemized quote for the procedure and towards the top was x-rays. We asked if this was needed since there were x-rays from the previous day. The tech explained that the x-ray was used as a starting point and then another one would be taken afterwards to compare. We signed off and left Barley there as we went to lunch.

During lunch the hospital called to let us know that the new x-ray showed that the bones were back in place! Over the course of the last 24 hours Barley managed to get the bones back in place on her own. We went back to the hospital and picked her up.

This photo was taken in the back of my car while we were waiting for Michelle to get Barley’s bed that we left inside.
