This evening the pain in my abdomen increased and I started to get a fever. The pain wasn't too high but with the fever we felt it would be best to go to the Emergency Room and see if they can take a scan of it. They did a CT scan and observed that my appendix was perforated and was surrounded by infection that had leaked out. Surgery was scheduled for midnight.
I was planning on flying out to Milwaukee this morning for a work conference. My doctor on Saturday advised me against it and I'm glad I decided not to go. This would be more of an issue if I wasn't close to home.
