Cartier at the Denver Art Museum

Cartier at the Denver Art Museum

Michelle and I took the day off of work to go down to see the Cartier exhibit at the Denver Art Museum with Meemo and Gramps. Michelle saw that there was a special Cartier orientation for Museum members so we joined last week when we ordered our tickets. The orientation was short but provided a good introduction to the exhibit.

This piece took over three years to complete for the Maharajah of Patiala.

It was not all women's jewelry, there were many men's watches.

The first few rooms of the exhibit were very crowded but about half way through there was a larger room that let people spread out.

This was Michelle's favorite piece.

There were two pieces that were in the shape of panthers.

It took us about two and a half hours to go through all 250 pieces in the collection. Afterwards, Michelle sat down and looked through one of the books they had on the exhibit. I took a picture of her.

After the exhibit we wandered around a for a while. We stepped out onto a patio and I got this photo of the new building.
