Loveland Maker Faire

Loveland Maker Faire

This morning Michelle and I met my Dad at the Loveland Maker Faire. This was the second year the event was held but I couldn't make it last year because I was in Buffalo. I was impressed with the number and quality of the booths. The statue in the background shot fire out of its mouth and hands. It was built by a local artist for Burning Man.

This sculpture is about 30 feet tall and is controlled by a person that stands in the torso.

Besides the robots and electronics there was a number of artists. Local artist Sterling Oldemeyer was selling some wood block prints. The Loveland Art Museum currently has some wood prints on display and it looks like a fun project to get into. I bought a print and asked if he could sign it.
