Woodcut #7
This afternoon we went up to Odell Brewing to try their Woodcut #7. Each beer in the Woodcut series is barrel aged and then bottled. I have tried 3-7 and this one might be one of my favorites. Normally, these beers have to be aged to allow the alcohol flavor to mellow out. However, when this one was cold, it was very smooth.
Food Pairing
There was a cheese plate out that was to be paired with the beer. I tried it towards the end and the funkiness of the cheese masked some of the alcohol flavor that was coming out as it warmed.
Expanded Taproom
Last week they had an open house for their new expanded taproom. There is probably two times the amount of indoor space as their previous taproom plus they have expanded their patio. It looks very nice and even though there were a ton of people, it didn't feel crowded.
