Brewsday

Brewsday

At the end of every Brewsday, many people take photos of the line up.

Sours

Sours

This months style was sour beers. This was probably the most surprising tasting for me; I came into it thinking I wouldn't like any of them, but there was such a big variety that it showed a great sampling of the style.

Square Glasses

Square Glasses

Normally we use a set of taster glasses but we didn't have those tonight so I used this square glass. It worked out because I think i got larger pours than those with skinnier/taller glasses.

La Folie

La Folie

This was one of the standouts of the evening, New Belgium's Lafile. It is a blend of 4 different beers that was contaminated with Brettanomyces yeast. However, they don't make it this way anymore. Rumor has it a few years back, the brettanomyces, which travels by air, spread throughout the brewery and caused a huge contamination within the brewery. Many of New Belgium's yeast strains were contaminated and that is the reason the beer tastes different than it used to.

This beer is still produced, but not like this.
