Bad Weather

Bad Weather

A few weeks ago, Michelle and I went up to Copper Mountain to redeem our season pass vouchers. Well, they have since switched systems so they needed to verify our vouchers and told us to come back the next day. Fast forward two weeks later, we went up to Copper to get our passes.

When we got up this morning, the plan was to get our passes, ski a run or two and then in the afternoon use our new snowshoes, that we got for christmas!

It took us 2.5 hours to get up to Copper, a little longer than expected because a storm moved in. We did one run to make sure the passes actually worked and then at 1pm started to head to the other side of the Continental Divide to go snowshoeing.

This photo was taken on the west side of the continental divide, 9 miles from where we were planning on snowshoeing. This picture was taken at 2pm. 9 miles later, it was 4pm and it was too dark to go snowshoeing.

I did take this picture while I was driving, but we were stopped because the tunnel was closing every 20 minutes so cars wouldn't get stuck in the middle.
