Yesterday the dishwasher and microwave were installed. With most dishwashers the power lines get hardwired into the house; with ours, it got connected directly into an outlet. While the installation guy was there I talked to him about the microwave. He gave me his bit and drill to use (since it was more powerful) and over the course of 30 minutes I was able to drill about 1/8 inch through the tile. He said that he had never seen tile so strong before.
He helped drill two cabinet holes and then had to take off. I went to Lowes a few hours later, bought the correct type of bit and later that day had the microwave installed.
